Mobius V 2000 tower mount

Can anyone help me identify and source a replacement tower mount for my Mobius V 2000?

The internal thread is stripped on one of the mounts.

That is a difficult one due to the age of the boat. You may have the best luck pulling the mount off, bringing it to a metal working/machine shop along with the bolt. Have them drill it out and heli-coil in a new threaded insert. Or maybe they would weld the hole shut and then drill and tap it. Only other thing I can think of is contacting a dealer but sourcing parts that old is not easy.

Could you just use a through-bolt with a nut and washers? Are you talking about the center bolt that holds the tower on orrrrr?

I believe he's talking about the center hole in this mount. For the quick release to lower the tower.



I'd seriously pull it off the hull and bring it to a machine shop for a fix.

Yes, that picture is correct....it's the tower mount which has stripped threads....

As it seems they are no longer available, i will have it re-threaded with an insert.
