Curious....What kind of GPH are you guys getting on your carbureated engines? Of course, depends ENTIRELY on how you're running your boats, but as a reference point, how about general cruising.....2000 to 2400 RPM is normal cruising speed.

That is a good question, I have a 2002 Outback LS and seem to be running 4 to 5 gals an hour which seems high to me. If anyone has done some good tracking it would be very helpful information

I have a 2002 Outback LS and I am testing it and seem to be burning between 4.5 to 5 gals. an hour. I am very curious to what others are getting because this seems a little excessive. Let me know.

I have a 2001 mobius v. Fuel consumption depends a great deal on the amount of weight in the boat. Wakeboarting with about 2000 lbs of water and 5 people we use about 6gph. With no ballast and cruising at 30 mph improves considerably.

    Default Fuel Economy

After reading these postings I decided to check what my fuel consumption was this weekend. I have a '01 Mobius and had the rear sac, 450 lbs of lead and 5 adults and 2 teen agers. Ran super unleaded in it and seemed to be about 5.25 gph. I will keep checking.

My 2001 Boomerang with a four barrel Holley carburater and a K&N air filter now producing around 330 hp takes the whole 23 gallon tank in about 2 hours. Now that's gas consumption!!!!! But I get 0-36 in 3.3 sec and a top speed of 61 mph. Beat that!

    Default 61 MPH?

JMO: What prop are you running to get 61mph?

Does the K&N filter actually give you more power than the stock flame arrestor? I wouldn't think the flame arrestor is very restrictive. Plus, it's a worthwhile safety item.
