Mike - nice meeting you at the Jam. Hope you enjoyed some Texas hospitality & didn't melt or spontaneouly combust. Props again for just showing up, not to mention sharing your knowledge & experience. That's an envious surf wake for sure. Maybe you can help dial in the wake on my old DD Saltare next time you're passing through...

Mike I think the best way to say how much you are running is you just pump water into your boat until it is almost over the sides.

Mike,
The girls are wanting to try goofy side on our LSV. If I move the 1100 over to the goofy side, do you think I should fill the port side at all or leave it empty as a starting point? Fill the 400 in the ski locker for sure. Position people on the starboard side behind the driver?
Thanks for the help last weekend.

For us with goofy, weight on the port side hurts the wave.

So you just run bow and starboard weight for a good goofy setup?

We run 1100 in rear locker, 400 on top of sundeck, center full (1180), and another 400 in the bow on the surf side. This pic is that setup, it was waist high and a very very long pocket with a ton of push.
Uploaded from my phone, so it may be a crappy pic.2006 Supra 20 - Sold

Yeah, but your waist high would be like, knee high for Ron.

Ron run the 1100 on your goofy side full, nothing on the opposite side. Fill center and the run the wake plate around 1/2 this will help lengthen the pocket a bit. Goofy will wash out real easy with opposite weight.
On ours we run 450 on the opposite side when goofy to help keep the boat from rolling to much as we run so much weight already.
Speeds on the goofy side will start right at 10 flutuating up to 10.5 it's a slower speed because the prop rotation is helping the wave on the sideMalo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.
