Engine running rich
I have a 98' Moomba Mobius, port injected 5.7 L engine, 320 HP. Problem is gas coming out the exhaust, but engine runs fine. Changed the thrmostat, and spark plugs but still runs rich.

Did you get this fixed? I have a similar problem with an '01. Wanted to see if you had any luck and what the problem was.

Does your motor have the watercooled fuel pump canister mounted on the front starboard side of the motor? Is there raw fuel coming out of the stbd. exhaust? If yes, you may have issues inside of the canister. If there is corrosion or the canister not winterized properly, fuel will mix with the water and go from the pump out of the cooling line to the stbd. manifold and then exits the boat. Water does not mix with the gas because it is pressurized. Hope this helps, keep us posted. Brian Raymond
