    Default Ringing Noise

For the last few hours when coming off the throttle and returning to neutral there has been a loud ringing noise coming from the transom. I am unsure as to whether this is a transmission issue or an engine issue as I am unable to locate the exact source of the sound.

Has anyone else had this same annying problem? There is no noticeable difference in the performance of the boat. Just a loud ringing noise that can be heard above the music. It is driving the dog crazy.

How many hours on your boat?

    What motor do you have?

I'm just over 50 hrs with the 345 and think I may be having the same issue you are describing start up just this weekend.

I have 60 hours on the Assault 330.

Hope to find a fix we can do ourselves as Atlanta Marine is pretty good haul from Lake Oconee.

It's the S.C. phone ringing. It says "Go buy a new boat."

Absolutely and this will not be the first problem we have had. Don't get me wrong we are completely in love with our boat. However, we had to take the boat back to the dealer under 4 hours to replace a faulty distributer. Hopefully it is something as simple as the prop not being on tight enough.

Had the same issue on mine. The impellar bracket had vibrated loose. Hope that helps

I will add that to the list of items to check.
