I have read lots of posts on engines starting and running fine but then cutting out when full power is given. The problem is not consistent and only seems to happen once in a while, but when it happens it's a pain in the neck to get going again. Like most I have checked the intake screen on the tube in the fuel tank, changed the fuel filter / water separator and changed the fuel pump. I have read that the oil pressure sensor sending unit is what gives power to the fuel pump once the engine is running and would like to try to change that. The problem is that I can't get the part from Discount Inboard before I leave for my next trip and NAPA has several different models that look the same. Wondering if anybody knows the part number for one of these from an auto parts dealer? The boat is a 1998 Outback with the cerebrated motor.
