Keeping slime out of ski locker
My new LSV has a ballast bag in the ski locker, which is covered in an oily slime,. I assume this came from the bilge..any thoughts on keeping the slime in the bilge and not in the ski compartment..I thought a piece of foam padding to filter the oil out as the water passes between the compartments...

I had the same problem except that I keep skis in the ski locker. My skis would all have a bilge water film on them.
On my LS the tube that drains the ski locker has an OD of 1-1/2" and is threaded on the outside surface on the engine bilge end. I simply purchased a pipe cap for that size and threaded it on. No more bilge water in my ski locker. and I can remove it whenever I want. My boat has an inspection port in the floor right in front of the tow pylon (LS Model) that made it very easy to get at.
Also considered a simple bathtub drain plug. They come in a good range of sizes. 1-1/4" would have been the correct size for my boat.
Good Luck.
