Once i used the pliers it wouldn't tighten, so i left it. Tested about 40% fill and no leak. Hope to get out again tomorrow and fill it full. I bought the cement just in case.

Popped off today. I will be using the PVC cement tomorrow. Any concerns about the bilge filling up / components getting wet or flooded?

if the correct threaded fitting(s) is popping out of a threaded sac port, the threads on one or the other is damaged and glue will likely not hold.

That does concern me.... The threads weren't too bad and i noticed Boonejeepin had the same issue. I know they are boat engines / components but i just worry about water splashing around in there....
