I wanted to get some speaker rings for my boat but couldnt find anywhere that sold RGB units. So I made my own, total supplies was less than $100 for 6 rings. Took a few hours to make solder, ect. I'll get some installed pics eventually. Took a quick video showing the color changing demo.

I used ebay waterproof RGB led strips (search LED RGB 5050 waterproof), a simple rgb controler and 2 layers of 1/4" arcylic from lowes cut with dremel circle cutter and sanded smooth on a bench top belt sander.

If you want to make your own, make sure you get the 300 LED/M stuff, some of them are 150 which will leave dead spots.
