Default Changing Fuel Filter 06 Outback V

Any insight on the procedures or problems changing the fuel filter?

Should be on the starboard wall right next to the v-drive. No issues, just use some sort of catch can for the fuel that will come out of the line when you disconnect it. I just took mine out then went down to the auto parts store for a replacement.

I just replaced mine on an 08 OBV. Simple. Like mnpracing said just have somthing to catch the fuel. Also do not do it on a full tank. you will get more then what you want coming out of the hose.

Only issue I had is it's really only a 1 beer job. I like it when it takes a little longer

Sounds like you didn't do nearly enough "planning" or "post job analysis".

Wrap a rag around either the filter or the hose, whichever is lower. Some fuel will dribble out, back down the filter/hose and not into whatever container you use. be prepared to hang up that rag to dry immediately after (easy at home, not so much at some marinas).

I like to light it on fire and wave it around.
