I'm riding a 2009 Slingshot Recoil, 138. Boots are the 2012 Slingshot Shred Towns, which I love.

I just saw you asked about the bow dip pic earlier. We actually didnt take it over the bow, we were between the rollers in that pic. Just an illusion. Now, earlier in the day we took 3 in a row. The boat was sacked out and had two people in the bow. I dropped the throttle and boom, nothing I could do.

Love the pics fellas. Question: How "primitive" do you go with the camping? Did you have a camper? Tents? Cabins? Full power?

I am trying to convince the wife to do something like this, but she sees two big obstacles... Mosquitoes love her and having no access to real world comforts for more than a day. My wife is actually a bit of a tomboy as she loves being outdoors so it's not really that she is a city girl. As a matter of fact she has been hunting with me twice and didn't complain once except that she was bored. (When she said that we had not seen any deer)

Cabins may be the way we go......interested to hear ya'lls setup.

It really depends on the weekend. Sometimes we rent a cabin, occasionally use Dusty's camper, and sometimes we just tent it with electric and water.

Memorial we did tents only. Now we did have to have a planning session on how power cords would be ran all over the campsite. I haven't bought a portable tent a/c but have looked at them. We do have full power and that is close to a necessity.

Personally, i prefer a cabin as it makes packing much easier but it isn't always feasible and a good camping trip is always a good time.

Trying to convince Heather to do a trip like this sooner than later. We have access to a camper that is pretty decent size, but that would mean camping with one of her friends who's significant other I do not care for all too much. I actually own a few higher end tents that would keep us comfortable, plus a nice air mattress. Probably am going to try for an overnighter before I ask her to hike up the Appalachian Trail with me.

We did it a couple of weeks ago at Carter's lake. My parents came with us and they had their camper but me, my wife, and our little girl stayed in the tent outside with an air matress. We had full power too so we had a fan running in there. We didn't use the camper at all except for when the downpour came. Took showers in the bath house at the camp ground. If my wife can do it I know your's can given that you said she is somewhat tomboyish. I'm sure we will be doing it again here pretty soon. If it gets any later in the summer it may be a requirement to get one of those tent AC units!

How did you get my sat pics?

Looks like a friggin fantastic time!

WBD - start off easy and try one of the islands on Sinclair. If she hates it and/or needs real facilities, my place is less than 10 mins away.

Good point. I need to mention this to her. She's pretty tough though, I bet she can wing it for a day and night. Of course all I will need is my boat, a bar of soap and a fishing line. I'm old school like that.

Like the pics. We're going to Ouachita June 22-24. Rented a houseboat from Dreamchaser. What part of the lake is good for boarding?
