Default Anyone with DIYWake Single surfboard rack?

I am leaning towards the DIYWake single surfboard racks to replace the ones I just took off.
Figure I will not be carrying more than 2 surfboards at a time most of the time.

Anyone else using these- any pros/cons?

I like the fact that the jaws, both top and bottom are 14.5". Most of the other surf racks I see have a long top jaw and shorter bottom jaw, at least the combo racks. Never really understood why they are made that way as the boards normally lay on the bottom part of the jaw so they are only covering half or less of the surface area.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I have been using DIY wake stuff for years and they make SOLID stuff at great pricing. I havent used their surf racks but I just bought their swivels board racks and they look and feel like you could hang a car from them. Service is great too! Small company but great products.

Totally agree Jet - Got them the other day, feel solid and look great. Got them mounted - these are first TRUE 1-5/8" clamps I've come across so far. No stupid rubber inserts required. I would like them just a bit better if the mounts were fully adjustable vs. having pre-drilled holes at specific locations/angles but moving from my rear bar to the front bar worked in getting them to sit level.

    Berg,

You best not be driving around during elk season or you're likely to get shot at!
