New Carb Engine Just Doesn't Run Right
I just bought a new(2001 model) Outback w/ carb'd engine. Great boat, but it doesn't run right. Very rough and erratic at idle speeds. Much exhaust smell, some smoke. Seems to "load up" if I putt around at anything less than 1500 RPM. What's your diagnosis??? I'm a good two hours from my dealer, so I'm looking at a minimum of 8 hours down and back twice. I'd like to try something myself(without screwing up my warranty). Ideas please..........
