wakeplate travel
can anyone tell me how far below the level bottom of the boat the factory installed wake plate travels? does it extend down below level with the bottom of the boat in the lowest position - like a trim tab?

Mine does not go below the bottom of the boat. It is very effective where it goes to because of the attitude of the Hull when under motion. I thought the same thing that you probably are and asked the same question.........answer was that it does not go down as low as a trim tab and serves a little different purpose........hope that helps.

I think same here but have never looked to try and get it lower than the boat.
It works for me.
