Good day gone bad...yesterday
Ever have one of those days that was really good, came home and it all went to hell.
Last night came home 85 and sunny, burgers dogs on the grill.
Notice these water stains in the HW floor. Nope dogs did not pee and know surface water.
Go down in basement and find paint bubbles in ceiling in two different rooms, uh ooh wtf.
After an hour of searching find the source, 4 hours later of emergency Paul Davis clean up crew.
Kitchen
wife's craft room
kids tv room.
Source, pin hole blow out in the ice maker line, it all ran down the wall and under the floor, no water came out under fridge......
And we just redid the kitchen in December ......
On the bright , guess I will commute from the lake house while under construction.A Day at the Lake...Priceless
A Day in Powder...Endless

JV, sorry to see this. I know how much it sucks. Is insurance covering this? I sure hope so. We just moved back in to our house after four months. We had a leak like you and the whole house was gutted, all three floors. Insurance covered everything, so we felt blessed.

Hate it when little things turn into big things like that. Glad it's insured and covered.

yes, but house is seven yers old, redid the kitchen in dec 11, craft room built june 2011 and the girls enternatinment room spring 2009 . so things we really the way we want them, yes we have insurance and it will be covered, this could go from a 5k claim to a 50k calim in a heart beat. and all the inconveince with the kitchen. the other rooms are not primary. so we can work around that.. Uugh

You now, it sucked but we dealt. We tried to be as easy going as possible, we knew it was for the best, in some way. Insurance paid for rental on a house and we moved out of ours/ into the rental within a day of the damage. The hardest part was completely moving out of the house, knowing we would have to move it all back in again. We hate moving, and when we do it, we prefer to be changing locations too. We took the opportunity to change/ update a few things, but it has sucked paying for those changes out of pocket. We weren't financially at the point to do upgrades, but the opportunity meant now or never. In the end, the wife was antsy to get back to our house, after being in limbo mode for 4 months...
