OMG I got a good laugh out of this thread. Bravo guys.
Just to be clear, the Blue wire is the "trigger" without it connected to a "triggered source" the amplifier would always be on and not know when to turn itself off. In the boat scenario, the trigger should come from the head unit source. Once that turns on, it signals the amp to turn itself on. It's also important that the amplifier be the last thing in the signal path to turn on or you get some big ole THUMP THUMP.

Got it finished last night and it sounds great (for a modest system on a toon). THere is, however a slight "pop" when he turns it all off. Need better power wires?
