Anyone know what this connector is for?

While looking up under my dash, I found this extra connector. It is too short to reach any spot where a 2" or 5" gauge would go. It comes from the wire harness that goes back to the engine compartment. It is a 6 pin connector with 6 wires as listed below:

Red - Aways hot (+)
Purple - Ignition on hot (+)
Black - Ground (-)
Yellow - ?
Green - ?
Brown - ? (Very spall wire, maybe 22 gauge)

What ballast do you have? Looks like a ballast connection.
