Default Dallas hamburger joint and the problem that follows.......

Was in Dallas this weekend for a huge volleyball tournament. My daughter and her team went to a place called Twisted Root.

    Great Burgers by the way.

My daughter bought a shirt. She wore it to school today. Just got a call from the school expressing their displeasure with the shirt. I never saw the shirt, just my daughter went to the bar and grabbed one and told me she bought a shirt.

This is what the shirt said according to the school and my daughter has confirmed:

    Twisted Root Burger Company
    Sofa King Good!

    Sigh.............

They just made her change it. Think she is wearing one of her practice shirts right now. The worst part was getting scolded by the school about it for 10 minutes. Deja vu all over again when I was sent to the principals office.

no mention of the school attended(grade/jr/high). I can see that at a grade school level, but high school? I hear kids saying a whole lot worse. heck, watch one episode of anything on mtv lately and that's not even cracking what kids are exposed to in today's world..

fwiw, I find that shirt quite funny...

Awesome shirt! I got in trouble in HS for wearing a shirt that said "Party like it's $19.99" and it had a picture of a keg...Tried to pass it off as a root beer keg with no luck.

Too funny. Anyone recall the old "Big Johnson" t-shirts? I used to have a few of those when I was a teen. My mother refused to wash them and then they disappeared miraculously one day. Don't recall getting in trouble at school with them though.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

She is a freshman in High School, and not a small or private one. One of the largest High Schools in the City. It was hard to not giggle as I was getting scolded.

Who exactly was scolding you? I can tell you right now I am a very level headed person, but I would be "bothered" by some school administrator calling to "scold" me.

Berg: I do remember the Big Johnson shirts! Hilarious! I was never allowed to have them, but really wanted one. I did come home from Panama City with my friend and his family when I was 15 with an interesting shirt. It said "ButtWeiser" in the Budweiser logo and had a picture of three young ladies in small bikinis laying on a towel face down. I ended up having that in my house for about 2 hours until it was found and promptly thrown in the trash. Dad wasn't pleased with me.
