Tinted windows look great, but how about those sunset runs? Or wearing sunglasses? Not worth the tradoffs.

KG - what percent tint is that? I assume they put the tint on the inside? Your boat looks awesome!

That's a sick pic for sure. I've been debating on tint for some time now to and have been discouraged just because we do stay out for "sunset cruises" often. After reading your post KG I guess I look over more than thru the windshield also. I'll have to pay close attention next time out and make a decision then. Hope my guy don't charge 400 thou, lot better things I could use that money on

400 isnt to bad really, if you want to make it cheaper ask the guy if he gives a discount for taking the windshield off yourself. I got mine done for 150 because i tool the windshield to him. It took me about an hour to remove and reinstall it and saved me more then 200 on the tint job.
They will charge a bit more because its curved glass and that makes it harder to tint but its well worth it. I will never own a vchicle without tint or a boat without tint. I couldnt even live in a state that doesnt allow me to tint my front windows. I feel so naked and exposed without tint. Been running tint on my cars for 22 years now.

Both mine and Dusty's are 5%. Yes, they tint the inside.
Jason, I believe Dusty paid more than I did actually.
Some tinters remove the windshield and some do it still on the boat. It also depends on the boat and how close the windshield is to the dash as well as how much curve is in the glass. I know our dash and windshield are real close together.
Oh and we sunset cruise/ride all the time.2016 Moomba Mojo

Its a MUST have, but just go legal darness. There have been times (ask dusty) about having to drive back at night, in a thunder storm with 7' waves. You cant raise your eyes above the windsheild, the rain hurts so you have to be able to look thru the tint, and that cant be done on the darker tint at night. I think we were shooting a Miami Vise video that night. Thats the scariest I have ever been on a boat before. Did NOT think we were going to make it. lol

7 ft waves and Wakeboats don't mix very well. Glad you mad it out.
Fwiw, a member told me tint is not practical but very cool. Kinda like pimped trailer rims. LolA Day at the Lake...Priceless
