Ballast upgrade question
Ok I'm upgrading my GIII system. I'm gonna use the factory rule pump for my front bags and get 2 new pumps for the rears, and get rid or the sprinkler system.
1. Should I use 1 big thru hull and make a manifold with the 2 pumps (one for each side) or should I make 2 small (3/4) thru hulls each with a pump.
2. What pump to buy. I'm leaning towards the tsunami 1200 so I can use 1" tubing. I know there are issues with the threading but can't I just use a 1" tube with a hose clap to connect it to the thru hull?
I also noticed on wakemakers website they have a different pump and it says it's faster but it's an 1100 I don't remember what it's called but I'm looking into that pump as well.
I have read, and read all the ballast upgrades on here and am stealing all these ideas from you guys so thanks in advance and any info would be great!!!2006 Outback V, Alpine CDA-118M, 2 alpine MC20's, Polk Cabins, 2 Exile XM7s 2 SXT65s (tower), Memphis Mojo 12" Sub in custom downfiring ported box, Kicker 2500.1, Exile Harpoon, JL M6450, WS-420.

1 big hole or two smaller ones probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference. You might think about if one bag is larger than the other (or are you running 2 750's?). If so, it might be nice to be drawing from the bigger fitting while you are finishing the larger bag.

Lot's of good ways to do it. I'd probably add 1" thru hull with a tee to feed 2 rear pumps, and leave the factory thru hull and Rule pump alone to feed the front.

If you use the "T", if one pump goes you are still operable too.

If I use the T each side goes to it's own bag. So it wouldnt work if one died. But I'm not worried about that.
Is the tsunami 1200 the way to go??2006 Outback V, Alpine CDA-118M, 2 alpine MC20's, Polk Cabins, 2 Exile XM7s 2 SXT65s (tower), Memphis Mojo 12" Sub in custom downfiring ported box, Kicker 2500.1, Exile Harpoon, JL M6450, WS-420.

I'd recommend 2 3/4" thru hulls for the new tsunamis-
3/4" thruhulls are a bit cheaper than 1" and will flow plenty of water
Tsunamis are the way to go, simple, flows the most water and cheap. just make sure to get the fittings to fit 1" hose.
keep the factory pump for the front bag
If you like I can try and get a photo of my system using tsunamisHey, Its Moomba time

3/4" thru hulls will be cheaper than 1", but remember you will need 2 which is probably more than the other fittings that would go along with 1" a T-setup. Plus you'll be adding another 3/4" ball valve with 2 thru hulls so your price goes up more. The 1" T-setup will be longer/bigger than individual pumps would be, which may be trickier to mount, but can be done.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I just ordered all my parts to upgrade my system, I did quiet a bit of research on this and went with the reversible johnson pumps, I know they are more money but by the time you add in your drain pumps it is not going to be a huge difference in price. they are suppoesed to fill a 750 in 6 min. I have had problems with all of my drain pumps (aretor style) where they have had to be replaced so I thought this time I would put the same pumps that are put into all the new moomba, supra, mastercraft ect.
