RC - never heard of the zip line place but now I wanna go too! As for the grotto, I'd suggest going at Christmas time when it's all lit up and lots of programs going on. Otherwise probably a yawner.
Monday is out for me fellas - Cub Scout meetings every Monday evening.Last edited by bergermaister; 03-09-2012 at 05:14 PM. Reason: kant spel

Just don't spend too much time with that RobertJ guy or you'll be in the market for a new Grillobius 2013.

Have any of you ever taken the brewcycle? One of my NCAA tornament buddies found this site and figured we all could use the exercise. This could be an interesting trip.

Heard of it - have friends at work who have done it - never have myself. The said that it's fun at first, then starts to feel like work. But hey, it's only a couple hours!

I think a lot of the highlights are covered. When I get employees out this way, they usually head to Seaside or Cannon Beach so they can see the Pacific Coast. If you head to Cannon Beach (Haystack Rock), stop off at Camp 18 along the way there (mile marker 18 -- an old logging camp) for some breakfast or lunch.
Aside from that, there are many good wineries in the Portland, South West Washington area that you can check out. Multnomah Falls is another good stop. You could definitely do the Falls and Cannon Beach in a day and still have some time to burn.Derek & Poppy

Great trip to Portland for the basketball tournament. A lot more microbrew pubs than I ever expected and I learned the first hour I got there on Wednesday night that the alcohol content of those micros are much higher than the usual beers. I was not a good designated driver that night. Leaving town today, we stopped at Thien Hong and they have the best salt & pepper squid around.
