Prop shaft packing adjustment?
Should the packing be adjusted with the boat idleing in gear, or just sitting in the water? Right now it drips once a second so I know it needs a little tightening up.

All the pre-adjusting should be done in neut. in the water. When finally adjusted, you should have one drop of water while in gear at idle. If you should have further questions in regards to this procedure, you can contact; [email protected]. Hope this helps, keep us posted. Brian Raymond

Did not proof read last post, sorry. It is one drop of water, in gear, at idle every 30-45 seconds. Brian Raymond

Hello all,
Would anyone happen to know what size wrenches fit the packing nuts? I have to put together a tool kit from home for our next trip up to the cottage. Thanks.

I used large Channel locks. My largest wrench is 1 1/4 which isn't big enough.
