    Default Opinion on new board

Currently don't own a board, setting up my boat this spring for surfing. Any opinions on a good quality board that won't break the bank? Looking on ebay for deals. Not exactly sure what size board I need, I am 6'2 around 185 lbs. Appreciate any suggestions.

Cwb ride and hyperlite broadcast are both great starter boards as well as good boards to keep on the boat for others, also durable.

We picked up a hyperlite broadcast from evo this year as we are just trying surfing for the first time this year. Haven't used it yet, but we asked around a bit before we bought it as well. I bought a blem 5'6" from evo when they had them in stock for $160. Here is the link to non-blem http://www.evo.com/outlet/wake-surfb...oard-2011.aspx

Evo will run deals on outlet items every so often, so if you wait and watch you might get 30% off that price.

We got the longer one just to safe and that way anyone will be able to ride it.

Here is the thread where I asked for info:

I picked up a Slasher Triple X at the start of last year and we had no problem learning how to surf on it. It is a pretty fast board and if you change the fin set up it really loosens the ride up, but does ding really easy. This year I picked up a new Alias TT off ebay for $135 including shipping which I thought was a deal. Although the board is kind of ugly. I just can't bring myself to spend $600 or $700 on a board.

Nice choice, we have the CWB Ride amoung several we carry, i like it because its hard plastic so very durable when packing it in the boat or truck, plus it fits in my wake board rack, and when we took the center fin off it got a lot faster and thats Claudias favorite board so fare they we have tried. We normally carry 3 different surf boards.
