Thought it might be fun to see what people do for a living here on the forum.
Since we own (or owned) Moombas, it's safe to say most of us are Blue collar working folk, or just a little smarter with our money.
I work for GE at a natural gas fired 240mw dual cycle power plant for the local utility.
Literally we wear blue collared shirts...

I work for Intel in the Chemical Waste Department.

Think of all the chemicals that a Fab uses to make the processor chips, (15 different types), all that chemical waste comes to my area, we either treat it for recycle, or collect it and ship it to a recycle company.

I run, maintain, and repair all the treatment systems. I am a senior lead tech, do new hire training, and get forced to work nights for 2015 to train the new night shift guys. Can't wait to get back to my day shift hours.

Also I work 12.5 hour days but I literally only work 14 days a month, plus with seniority I get more then 6 weeks a year off. Mostly I burn them in the short PNW summers on the boat.

I'm a Senior Mechanical Designer in the North American Research and Development Dept for a multi national corporation that is a global leader in power and automation technologies. Company is based in Zurich, Switzerland.

I design the external enclosures and internal mechanical systems for medium voltage (15/38kV 1200/4000A) magnetically actuated outdoor circuit breakers and reclosures (single and 3 phase).

Been doing this for 20 years. Prior to that I was a staff photographer for General Dynamics Corp.

Manage the Life and Annuity division of a NMO National Marketing Organization. American Group Insurance services. We have 1000s of agents all over the country that specialize in Life Insurance, Annuities and Senior products like Medicare Supplements, Long Term Care, ect.

I'm a Solution Architect for the Blue Cross Blue Shield programs in IL, TX, OK, NM and MT -- basically we set the IT standards and architect the technical solutions used across the enterprise.
