a sad day from a guy that changed the world...

way too young to have passed, and never got a chance to reap the rewards he has earned, however those same rewards may have paid for a much longer life than he would have normally seen...

Will be interesting to see the path that apple takes under a new helm.

    Well said scott.

Hard to replace someone like that and hopefully he picked people to continue on his creativity and vision with AAPL, unlike what happened with MSFT, Gates and Balmer.....

to quote the new season of 2 1/2 men " Really, you bought a Zune?" Walden said to Alan at the bar lol

Sad topic but that made me laugh. They probably have an App that will fix that for ya, though.

I was talking about this to another forum member the other day when it happened. This is the short message they put on our Intel site. Intel has felt his passing as well as for the last 5 years we have been working directly with Apple and that has never been the case before hand.

The death Wednesday of Apple founder Steve Jobs has saddened many millions of people in all walks of life—including of course the entire technology world.

Intel and Apple have enjoyed an especially close business partnership since January 2006. That was when Jobs and CEO Paul Otellini stood together on stage at MacWorld in San Francisco—both men beaming, and Paul wearing a bunny suit—to announce that Apple was moving its notebook and desktop family of products to Intel Architecture.

Wednesday night, Paul offered his thoughts on Steve Jobs’ passing.

“True genius is measured by the ability to touch every person on the planet. Steve did that, not just once, but many, many times over his amazing life. We at Intel were privileged to have known him and worked with him as he brought his creations to life. Our hearts go out to his family and to his many friends and co-creators throughout the world.”

Use the “Comments” box below to offer your own thoughts on Steve Jobs—his impact on our industry, or what you most admire about him.
