Very sad day
Woke up this morning to find my Exile system gone. 3 amps and the sub were taken, as well as the boat trashed. It was stolen last night as I slept in my own bed just feet away. Still kind of in shock. Made a police report (they don't plan to do anything) and called my home owners insurace (insurance agent is discouraging me from making a claim). Really hate to sound sappy or cliche, but this sh!t really ruins my faith in humanity. Very depressed, really don't even want to go out to the lake tomorrow even though it's gonna be 95 degrees.

that's the reason that I have an extra 5 g's of personal property ins and also all the stereo stuffs well documented and covered as well
That sucks to hear you lost all your exile gear I would make the claim in insurance honestly!! isn't it this type of thing the reason that we pay for it month after month year after year, but of course the ins man don't want you to make a claim he just wants to collect not pay out when the time comes2007 Outback V

yeah, I'm VERY curious why your insurance would be poo-pooing you submitting a claim for it??? You pay for something you never hope to use for years and years...
Hopefully you have a smaller deductible and you can get back what you lost (and then some)?
Side note, few years ago a buddy of mine had his Malibu stripped clean one night as he slept. Went through or over his big fence and gate to do it - very ballsy and they had to know him because from the street you'd never know there was boat hiding where it was. His problem is that he has a big mouth and apparently the wrong people were listening at some point when he was bragging it up.So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Because he will be dropped for a claim of that size and the agent knows that. I also made a legitimate claim about 10 years ago when my truck was broken into and everything stolen. The auto insurance covered the damage but personal property is on your homeowners. Shortly thereafter they dropped me and i had to get another provider at a higher cost. After five years or so with no claims I could get a cheaper rate again. Same exact thing happened to my neighbor a couple years ago when his very expensive golf clubs were swiped from his garage. It's BS because you pay thousands literally for this coverage but if you actually have to use it your hosed.
