water in the engine compartment
how much water is normal to have in the engine compartment? shold I have to drain everytime off the lake?

There will always be some water in the engine compartment but I do not have to drain the boat each time unless you are trying to get it completely dry in the compartment. Check how fast the water is dripping from the packing gland and make sure it's not a stream or really fast drip of water, also if you have ballast bags make sure all the hoses and fittings are tight and the verify the bags don't have any small tears in them that could be leaking.
