Do the fly high bags take normal water pipe fittings?
As found at HD/Lowes etc or are the threads different on the bags?

They appear to be NPT to me, so I would say yes, although I could be wrong.

You can use normal pope fittings but it might leak from the fitings. I was thinking of just using a normal thread fitting to a 3/4 hose and it went in just fine but it wouls keep spinning until it was in the bag. You will need to have some sort of stop on the fitting to stop this. Also note the fly high fittings have a O ring on them to stop leaking.

I actually bought the flow rite fittings from flo rite.com and o rings from lowes. they still leaked. i think the way the flange part seals the o ring into the bag threads stops the leaking.

Maybe if you a thick platic washer to to compress the o ring?? it would work. i used thread tape as well. i have a bunch of these if anyone wants to try them. i broke down and bought the fly high ones for three times the costs.A Day at the Lake...Priceless

Do you plan to remove the bags ever? Seems like it would be a royal pain without the quick disconnects. I pull mine out quite frequently to dry the carpet underneath and just clean up.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
