Prop puller doesn't fit

I have a 99 Boomerang and bought a up to 1-1/8' pro- puller that does not fit around the shaft. How can this be as i thought it had a 1" shaft? Any suggestions?

Is it possible to send the puller back? Did you buy the puller for a 3 blade prop or a 4 blade prop. I believe they are different.

i bought a c clamp style that works for both as i'm replacing the 3 blade with a 4 blade.

just measure the clamp and it is a 1 - 1/8th inch opening
