    Default Cork It

Today I forgot to uncork my port ballast bag as I do when emptying it. When I went to lift and help it empty it was sucked totally flat. My starboard bag needed help as it was not corked. The one thing I don't know is if the auto shut off functioned properly. But was nicenot to have to lift the bag

Doc, with the jabsco pumps i think you would want a one way valve on the vent. the impellar style should suck flat and the vent is only needed for overflow.

Doug may be corking his vent for the same reason I do...ya don't want to loose any water weight thru the vent when the boat lists to the side.

+1. Put a oneway valve on my over flow. Bags get sucked dry everytime never touch them

run the vents to the opposite side of the boat.

corking is easier and gets you a little tipsy in the process
