    Default A little Surf Video

We were out on the boat this weekend and I hooked up the Go Pro to the back of the boat to record a quick surf session. The wave looks small on the video but it was actually pretty good and easy to ride. At the end of the video my friend who was driving started doing S turns to make me fall. Fun times.

Good times man - what board were you riding?
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

    That's right YDM, good eye.

I have a Inland Surfer Blue lake which is good especially for beginners but the Arcane is a much more fun to ride. No body talks about these boards but if you have a chance, give one a try. It took a day to get used to and now i really like it. Its fun and fast and carves very nicely.

I've been eyeballing that board myself. Was the first thing I noticed in the vid.

you riding the arcane with all fins in?
I rode a friends behind a older MC Xstar recently and it felt real slow..

I would like to try again with only 2 fins and more wave.

    501 - nice riding.

I've been on the slingshot arcane a number of times when I borrow it from my neighbor at the lake and first thing I always notice is how heavy that board is. Feels like it's at least 13lbs. Then I notice that it's slower than my other boards (including my IS Blue Lake) and the heaviness makes it hard to work when going set after set. It wears my old a$$ out.

To carry the board, it's very heavy and thick. Very different then most boards, and I have to admit when I first got on it, I could barely drop the rope. But as I figured it out, I like it more and more. You can really pump it on the wave, and I like the way it rides.

here is a little video on the board: http://ride.slingshotsports.com/2010...category=25616

I don't mean to hop on this thread but here I'm riding a Ronix Cortez....
We are setting up Facebook page at the engineering firm where I work, hence the hardhat and vest....the second part of the video I'm working the board a little more. It's a pretty fast board, doesn't seem to like to just ride. It wants to go....

Saw those gray clouds in the vid and thought "hey, those look familiar"! Then saw you're from OC area. What water are you riding there?
