    Default Spare Tire attachment

My new XLV didn't come with a spare. I know from past experience how valuable a spaqre is to have so I'm going to mount one. I'm just concerned about mounting it in a place that won't interfere with trailering or launching the boat. Anyone mount one before?

I noticed the same thing. Is a spare an option with SC? I have yet to look. Are you going to get the spare & rim from the dealer?

Have you priced this yet? I’m going to take my chances this year but I agree it is an eventual must have.

I had to do sit ups to get rid of my spare tire.......oh, and I switched to Lite Beer too.

I mounted mine on the right front of the trailer. I bought the mount from Overtons and took the boat over to a tire store to make sure I got a tire and rim that would fit and had the proper load capacity. Spoke with my dealer before doing it and was informed that this was definitely the most cost effective way to do it.

The tire doesn't interfere with loading/unloading and works great.

    Butttafewcoe,

    Not worth it.

I might do a sit up or two but lite beer is an oxymoron.

You can get the spare from Moomba with the bracket for an Extra $295. I myself bought a white trailer wheel, and tire from a tire shop for under $100, that i throw in the box of my truck when i tow the boat over 20 miles away from my house.

Here's what I put on my 04 XLV
    http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catal...rTarget=browse
    from BassProShops.
I did just what carsondoc said. When you have the new wheel/tire and the mounting
bracket you can see where you can position it on the trailer so it won't get in the way of
    trailering the boat.
