I saw this yesterday and have no idea what you are talking about. You want to know how thick the top plate is or the backing plates? Sometimes it's not the unwillingness to help but the vagueness of the question that prevents responses. Give a quick summary of what you are trying to do and what info you need-- post a pic if necessary. OK?

I think your refering to the mounts inside the boat that the tower bolts threw. If this is the case on the front feet mine are 1inch thick.
I cant recall on the rear feet and i would have to look in the boat but if i recall its a metal bracket on the rear legs.
The front is back seabord type materail as its very easy to drill threw.
In my stereo thread in the last couple pics you can almost see the block i think your referencing.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.

The backer plate under my deck that tightens up against the hull is 1/4" aluminum.

Well i guess i didn't word my question properly...The dealer wants $5800.00 + shipping for an oem tower for my XLV so I decided to take another route which is buy a krypt tower (almost identical to the oem) chop it down, extend, weld etc...
I already made paper templates (see pics) ready to cut out the base of the tower which sit on top of the boat. That's the plate thickness i need to know.
The krypt tower is 70" apart and the oem is 96" so i have alot of work to do Lol. So bottom line is I have to turn my paper templates into aluminum polished plates, what thickness of aluminum should I buy ?? I'm hoping to create an exact replica of the oem tower.06 XLV

slightly off topic here, the rubber pads that go between the tower and gel coat, how much do these cost and how hard is it to install/what is the process?

Around 8 or 9 bucks each. It's as simple as removing the screws in the tower leg, raising it, and replacing the pad. However, if there are speaker wires in your tower, you will have to unhook them from the amp to run them through the new pad, or cut them.
When I did mine I cut my wires and wired in butt connectors to make future pad changes easier. Email Heidi at Atlanta Marine, she can get em for ya. I waited for nearly 2 months, as they were on backorder.
One more thing, I had to have my wife work the ratchet under the deck on the rear leg. You access the bolts through the in boat speaker holes, my arm wouldn't bend at the angle required to get to it.
