Default raw water intake??? for heater install.

Anyone have a pic of the "Y" install on a moomba v drive. I just want to verify where the raw water intake is when i cut that hose and install the "y" fitting.

I assume on the v drive its at the stern of the boat. please correct me if i am wrong. i dont want to make a mistake.

pics would be helpful. the detailed impellar change thread vanished i think

Joe, I haven't installed mine yet but cut it into the intake hose between the vdrive and the raw water pump (where the impeller lives).

Just trying to verify where the impeller is, front by the drive or at the very rear of the motor. I was trying to locate it with flash light at 10 pm.

Lsvboombox, thanks. I see that but I want to make sure its the correct one so I can trace it to the impeelar housing.

Got it. I was afraid I would have to cut it back by the drain plug.darn obv is really tight. Was able to get dual fill pumps and 5 port manifold mounted Friday night with a flash light. Ugh. Need to plumb and wire.

Yes, the black hose with the green stripe. That should go from the v-drive to the raw water pump which houses the impeller.

    thanks al,

that darn impeller is in the toughest spot on the boat, at least on the smaller boat hulls. I can barely get my arm back there....
