    WOW! WOW! WOW!

Fantastic work. Had I known you two were that talented, I'd have had my friends at Atlanta Marine hold Dusty's boat while I bought you beers and you installed LED's, speakers, amps, etc. to put in my ride!

We were getting outta ATL faster than we came in there!! Ha!

I will use the inverter mostly for airing up a large party island type raft we have as well as a tube. Yep, i said it, a tube. I'm sure it will get used as a phone charger some and the occasional margarita!

Typical wakeboarders don't like tubes since they destroy a perfectly good cove. They are hard to resist sometimes, though.

Even wakeboarders can find a purpose for tubes though ...

I wanted to lay out some setup cost bc in prior posts we did make comments about a quality DIY job at a good price. We were both blown away at the money you can quickly put into a system so we decided to go this route together. The items we started with: 4 6.5" cans, our own sub, and our own sub amp. Dusty kept his factory Kenwood amp. Of course we both had a head unit already. Other than those items we added and rewired the entire system. Here is a break down on the cost:

Amps: 510 for me and 260 for dusty

Wiring, distro block, build materials: approx 300

Speakers: 850 for me and 550 for dusty (includes towers and in boats, 10 total)

    LED lights: approx 200 each

Volume controls (eq with microphone and hse): 255

For an approx total of $2,115 for me and $1,565 for dusty.

The difference in amps is because I bought a matching JL to power in boats. Difference in speakers is the difference between Bullet coaxials and Polk DB's. (i already had 4 bullets from last year so i just added 2 more). We have 4 6.5" hlcds on the tower.

If you read the prior post we had over the winter you should see we did a ton of research purchase and install wise and i really feel like the system is top notch.

We did receive a little bit of help on heavy gauge wiring from Dustys dad. I also received a TREMENDOUS amount of help from Dusty as far as installation. There is no way I could have dreamed of tackling this without him. His install was top notch. Not to mention the possible cost of paying a shop to do the job. I would guess that would run in the $3,000 ballpark but who knows, probably a full 40 hour weeks worth of work? Maybe one of the audio guru's with a shop can chime in on a ballpark price.

I even made a friend out of the deal! Ha. Thanks bud!

I've been running a Xantrex 1000w inverter for a couple of years now and it has all kinds of uses; Running a high output 750w pump, rechargeable vac, charging phones, radios, blender, etc. The only problem with them is they do eat battery so you have to use them sparingly. If your batts drop in voltage they go into protection and won't function so you gotta watch that as well, like have a backup low volume pump, etc.
