Flowrider!
We were on a cruise ship Thanksgiving week (on Royal Carribean's behemoth, the Oasis of the Seas, the largest cruise ship built to date) and they had two of these Flowriders on the ship. Very tricky to learn as the board is very narrow and has no fins so it's hard to learn to keep it going straight. Anyway, my son and I spent a lot of time on it and at the end of the cruise, the Flowrider instructors hand picked 5 people to participate in a contest. Of the 5, my son was the youngest at 14 and was the only one who had not ridden a Flowrider before this cruise (all the other contestants were between 16 & 19 and had either been on a cruise ship before that had a Flowrider or there's one near where they live). Anyway, my son Keenan won the contest (winner was determined by the loudest applause from the crowd). There had to be about 300 people watching the contest. By the end of the week, Keenan was doing spins both ways and he nailed the contest by doing a fire hydrant which no one else did. This is the only picture I have handy and was from earlier in the week. Unfortunately, the memory card where I shot the video of his contest run is corrupted! So I have to find a way to recover it - anyone have any ideas??
