Transmission Oil
I know for engine oil they recommend "Marine Grade". For the transmission oil, is there a special oil I should use? Some special Marine grade? What transmission oil do most of you use?

Garn,
My 2006 LSV manual recommends Dexron III in the transmission. However, they don't make Dexron III anymore so I put Chevron MD-3 in the tranny last month when I replaced the fluid. The literature on MD-3 says, "It is recommended for all applications that call for the former DEXRONŽ-III H and MERCONŽ fluids and for Allison C-4 fluids." Here is the link for complete info on Chevron MD-3:
http://www.chevron.com/products/prod...ssion/md3.aspx
The other option is to use Dexron VI which is backwards compatible with Dexron III but it costs twice as much as the MD-3.
If anyone believes I should not be using MD-3, please tell me now!
Thanks,
