Oil change gone bad

Mine was broke there when i bought my '02 last yr, got my replacement from Summit Racing...it was exact match..

I think he had the same problem that I did last weekend! The dang filter had been installed too tight/without the seal gasket being lubed. I almost broke my bracket too and probably would have if it hadn't gotten dark and I hadn't read Razzman's post about taking the mount off and putting the whole thing in a vise.

Exactly as wolfman says... The last oil change has been made by a generic boat dealer who probably installed it too tight/without the seal gasket being lubed. It ended up in a vise...

well that's not too bad- I was expecting to see something more graphic like a picture of you pouring oil into the transmission or something lol!

If you have the room to run your lines on one side you could go with one like this. Might be easier to reach the filter if the lines are on the same side. They have a right side or a left side ports.

thanks guys, I'm gonna go with the same setup that the boat came with because i don't think I can screw two 'L' fittings on the same side due to fittings size.
