My favorite place
This is the Crooked River arm of lake Billy Chinook, High walls, deep water (190'). Great place to float and relax. The sucky part is its only 20 minutes from my driveway. Hope you all had a great summer!

I think there is a 10 mph speed limit on that arm? So we surfed thru there once going 10mph but got lots of dirty looks so my wife made me stop

That's really pretty! Been on Lake Billy Chinook just once back in 2008. We have Yellowtail Dam Canyon that is much like that. 100ft. Sheer rock walls on both sides and 200ft. deep and 40miles long. Although it's 2hrs away NOT 20min. Originally Posted by davidl

Nice, I really like it there as well. We are heading over to Bend next weekend (baby shower for a friend :roll) Was hoping the weather would hang on and head over there on Saturday. Still trying to hang on to summer. What's the water temp this time of year?

Holy Toledo...........I would kill for a place like that. Someday - Someday I will have me a lake home. But by the time I get one I'll probably be in a walker and can't enjoy it anyway
