What brand and weight of Synthetic Oil are you using in your Moomba.

Royal Purple 15W40 with K&N Oil Filter
2008 Outback V - gravity III ballasts, perfect pass star gazer, hydraulic wake plate, depth finder, water stainer, rad-a-cage tower, board racks, tower mirror, bimini top, audio package d, graphics package e, appearance package, cockpit & tonneau cover, mooring cover, black stainless rubrail, docking lights, OJ 14.25x14.0 prop.

I use mobil 5w-30 with a mobil filter. The mobil rep for the paper mill I do a lot of work at uses 5w-40 in his boat.

Check API ratings.
From the manual:
Indmar recommends 15W-40 Pennzoil Marine in their
engines. If not available, use a 15W40 motor oil with an
A.P.I. classification rating of SL/SJ/CI4/CH4/CG4 or
equivilent. Synthetic oils are not recommended until after
the engine has been run for 100 hours.
