Default Rough start / Fast idle

My engine is a 2003 Indmar Assault TBI MEFI 4 and starts like a charm hot or cold.

1- Right after a cold start it run realy rought just like it would die for 3 seconds and stabilise at 650 or 700. Is it supose to keep a higher rpm until it warm's up ?

2- Once at operating temp it idle a 950 or 1000...

    Any idea ?

idle at 950 sounds a little high, does it clunk when you put it in gear? if it does, you most likely need to tighten the throttle cable. as for the starting problem, i have nothing for ya as it sounds like you are having similar issues as me. same year of boat, different engine though

One day i was trouble shooting a problem and disconnected the pvc valve on valve cover and my idle went to 1000 (maybe a pvc valve or cracked hose)
