    Default Hose under engine?

I was cleaning out the engine compartment the other day and found a hose under the engine with a brass fitting at the end with a cap on it. Is this for draining the oil? or am I completely off base. When it comes to mechanics Im totally out to lunch.

Sounds like your oil drain hose. Should have a metal clip on the tip to hang on the engine somewhere.

Yup its a small hose about 1/2 in diameter with a brass fitting, it should have a loop attached and it clips to a bracket on the back of the engine.

right whats the diameter. The brass cap would have a hole on top for threading a hanger through
