    I wonder if you could shape a piece of wood to fit perfectly under the lip of the existing platform and create the shape you want. You'd only need two small holes in the existing platform to bolt it on- one on the side and on the rear-- stove bolt type that wouldn't protrude. Once you had it right you could glass it and paint/gelcoat it to protect it.

    use foam and glass it in. Would be easier. Thats also a good idea

    If you do that you better get it right. My thinking was you could keep changing the shape till you get it how you want it, then make it semi-permanent.
