YES that wake looked big! You could see the Very Good young skier getting air! I can't wait to show it to the wife so she won't think the LS is so bad.
I think for just course usage I should have kept that old MC!!! We could have been a 2 skiboat family. I remember trying to jump the MC wake with pairs skis on and getting about 2" in height!Last edited by zegm; 08-11-2010 at 04:02 PM.

Great job. I always wondered how the younger kids dealt with the wake at slow speed. Apparently - quite well...

Just got back to MI. He finished 13th overall after tricking today. He was very happy with that since got his PB in slalom and did all of his tricks in his trick run.
@Deerfield - That was Mrs Reese indeed. She was pretty excited! I was back at the starting dock getting him kicked off.
They didn't get to choose their boats for slalom and the blind draw for his division was the Mastercraft which has the biggest wake of the bunch. He was very disappointed with the MC draw to say the least. They got to choose their trick boat (between Malibu, MC, and Nautique). He chose the new Nautique 200 and loved it.
Overall, a great experience. He had a ball. Thanks for the kind words and support, he loved having the Moomba crew behind him!

Thanks guys, he's completely addicted to it. We're new to the competition side of it so we're learning as we go. Now, we just need longer summers in MI.

Seems to me Nationals should be about a month later, or at least a couple weeks. The schedule puts State competitions in the end of July when there is plenty of summer left to get better and improve your rank before Regions .

Totally agree. Only thing I can guess is that a lot of kids go back to school in mid August and they would lose all of those by pushing it out.

Good point - I think there are quite a few college team skiers at Nationals...
