Outback engine missing at speed

I have a 2005 Moomba Outback with 115 hours on it (Canadian Boat). I am having problems with the boat missing under both acceleration (out of the hole) and while underway. I have changed the plugs and always new oil. On start up I have noticed that the fuel pump sounds sick (no smooth sound). I haven't changed the fuel pump or fuel filter since 10 hour service. Any suggestions?

I'd definitely have a look at that filter for starters (and it's cheap).

Yeah, and it should be changed as part of the winterization process every fall.
