How many hours will a boat motor last??? Does anyone have over 1000 hours?? Someone told me once after about 1000 it is time to rebuild the motor. Just wondering how many hours most people put on their boat before they trade it or sell it.

If you check other boat site forums, you will find many boats have over 2500 hours without a rebuild. Most of these boats are ski school boats or hard core skiers. If you do the basic maintenance, there is no reason that they should not last at least 2000 hours.

My first boat had over 1000 hours on it when I sold it, I bought it with 230 on it.
