electricial problem

coil problems?
I run my 98 moomba for about 2hrs tubing, no problems fast about 2500 to 3000 rpms. But if we wakeboard with my daughters who just learned, so alot of idling and short runs, then she breaks down and won't start. I either have to switch out the coil ( I keep a spare handy) or I let it cool down ( coil gets hot ). She will start up and I hurry home, then she starts up no problem. Looking for some help.

are you sure its not a vapor lock issue?
