One hand on the rope, one arm around the life vest of the child inbetween your legs. A bit slower on pullup than usual.

I concentrate on getting up so much that usually my son is off the board hanging from my arm. I tell him to hold onto the rope with two hands but not sure if my pressure makes him drop it or not. i then lower him on the board and he hooks his arms around my knees.

I did it with a 110lb woman with my arms under her armpits holding on the rope, it was cumbersome but I surfed her. She's a few years older than me and cute so all good (:

I usually have them lay in my lap with thier feet on the board with my arms around them and both my hands on the handle/rope. Have them hang on to the rope as well. Get up like you usually do but you will notice thier feet will be dangling because they are still in your arms. Once your up, let them slide down and stand on the board. On bigger boards I have my kids walk out on the nose and I hold thier hand. My son is small enough that he likes to crawl up and sit on my shoulders.
