Boat Cover Straps

Anyone have a picture of the factory 1 piece boat cover straps(2008 logo cover) and how they are put together?

Mine were never put together and I am trying to see how they go. My primary question is which part of the long strap connects to the short strap on the cover. Is it the plastic buckle or the metal ring. Also how does the strap(whichever piece) go into the metal ring.

Pics would be great if not we can try and use our words.

the metal piece goes through the short plastic piece. The rest of the strap goes around the trailer/lift and back into the female part of the buckle
