In-boat Cooler
I was curious if anyone else had seen the same thing I did the other day.
Had the cooler full of ice and beverages during the day. Got home and pulled the drain plug, and it drained just fine. Well, around the same time it was draining, I was messing around near the ski locker, and heard running water. I looked around, and saw that water was coming into the ski locker from where the cables route from the back of the boat, up into the oberservers cubby for the batteries.
I guess my question is was the cooler designed to drain into the ski locker, then into the bilge? It seems strange to me that it would drain into a 'cable chase', and then into the bilge. No wonder the ski locker is always wet!!2015 Supra SC400

Can't say, i quit using that usless thing! It's now a bin for koozies, hats and such. I went to a 56qt Igloo marine cooler in the starboard locker, works awesome.

The chase it drains into goes from the engine compartment to the ski locker. So depending on how the boat is sitting nose high or low will determine whether the the water goes forward or backwards.

Newty, very good point! Thanks man. I guess I didn't even think about it running both directions. Not to self - drain the cooler at the ramp.
